Back To Blocks You just can't beat the satisfaction one gets from being creative. Long before video games and iPods, children would stimulate their imaginations with the simplest of objects. It's how I got started and the last 50 years have been filled with one happy "building" moment after another. Sawtooth Ideas On the surface, Sawtooth Ideas seems like a pretty competent plans database which serves as an outlet for individual designers. But the real gem is IdeaRoom, a sweet little app which lets you manipulate 3D plans in ways which would make a CAD professional drool. Oh yeah, IdeaRoom runs on iPhones, iPads and Macs, and it's free. What are you waiting for? Wayne's Woodworking World This is a neat site which is sure to attract lots of beginning woodworkers looking for information on how to get started. Another thing I liked is Wayne's obvious devotion to woodworking - it really stands out! AnyBumper.Com It had to happen eventually, as is true for most good things. They have a great selection and the prices are right. They are the only site on the net that specializes in cabinet bumpers. Without further delay, I give you AnyBumper.Com Tablelegs.com If you need to buy furniture components, you don't want to send your money to some huge mega-corporation which employs un-skilled workers in some sweat shop in southeast Asia. Instead, click on over to Tablelegs.com and be amazed at their selection of bun feet. I had no idea there were so many to choose from! Mainstreet Wood Works Dave Glodo got the woodworking bug as a child from his Grandfather, and decades later he's still at it. After looking at his work, it's plain there is little about the craft he hasn't mastered. He's an experienced engineer and you can find him in Texas...enjoy! Cabinetstore.com Without doubt, this is the nicest website I've seen for selecting and pricing kitchen cabinets. If you're thinking of remodeling your kitchen, this is a great place to start, and shipping for an order over $1,000 is only $39.95. Wow! CNC Router Central As a certified tool junkie, I love poking around sites like this where you can find the latest in woodworking technology. With CNC routing leading the way, it makes you wonder where the craft will be far into the future. Carrocel Antique Furniture Restorations Toronto Sometimes when I visit a website, I struggle looking for something to say. There are only so many superlatives you can fit in a paragraph. Very simply, they're in Toronto and if you are the least interested in antiques, this is absolutely a link you must follow. Brad Whitman Woodturning Are you a responsible woodworker or are you the kind of woodworker only concerned with immediate aesthetic gratification? How much do you care about this world? Do you have the courage to find out? Eagle America There is a down side when great tool companies join the WWA. I go to their website, see lots of cool stuff I gotta have, and then spend way too much money. Hey... it's what makes me happy. If you don't like that kind of happiness, then don't go there. Stones River Hardwoods For years I worked exclusively with air-dried hardwoods. Besides it's superior characteristics, it connects you spiritually with woodworkers of long ago. Alf and Alan have a lot of air-dried lumber, and I really want some for myself. Fitzpatrick & Weller What an impressive operation. From land management of timber resources to custom millwork and exporting of domestic hardwoods, it looks like these guys do it all! WoodcraftPlans.com Without doubt the best selection of lawn silhouettes I've seen. I suspect they even have one of a woodworker scrolling out a woodworker scrolling out a woodworker. If your woodworking dreams are big, and they leave you with a colossal mess to clean up, Airex might just be the place for you! As a consequence, the replaced part can end up costing more than the whole chair. WoodChairParts.com is dedicated to alleviating that problem. Check them out!
